Engineering the Future of Private Travel
Published: November 7, 2025
In honor of National STEM Day, we’re celebrating the brilliant engineering and technology minds driving innovation at Jets.com. Guided by our signature high-touch, client-first approach, this talented team was instrumental in bringing the new Jets.com website to life, and continues to advance innovation across every digital touchpoint, from behind-the-scenes systems to the upcoming Jets.com Copilot app, set to debut in early 2026.
We sat down with a few members of the team to talk about innovation, collaboration, and the cutting-edge technology shaping the future of Jets.com — and private aviation.

The new Jets.com website, launched in spring 2025
What excites you most about where technology in private aviation is headed?
Private aviation tech is finally starting to catch up with what people expect from great digital experiences. Clients want the same kind of seamless experience they get when they order an Uber or book an Airbnb — and we’re building the tools to make that a reality. What excites me most is how data and AI are reshaping what’s possible: smarter trip recommendations, real-time pricing, predictive scheduling. Behind every successful trip is a huge network of activity — brokers working with clients, schedulers coordinating aircraft and crew, accounting making sure everything reconciles. The technology we’re building isn’t just for the client side; it’s about connecting all those moving parts, so the experience feels as effortless as possible from end to end.
— Chhay Chhun, Chief Technology Officer
What’s your favorite part about working in tech/engineering at Jets.com?
My time at Jets.com has coincided with the rise of AI-powered software development tools, and I appreciate how our CTO encourages us to experiment with cutting-edge AI technologies as we build internal Jets.com systems. On top of that, it's fascinating to have a window into this niche industry to which I would otherwise have no exposure. It's always interesting to learn about different facets of the aviation world.
— William Foster, Staff Engineer
What’s a project or accomplishment from this past year that you’re most proud of?
Over the past year, I’m most proud of how quickly I got up to speed on our data sources and was able to make an immediate impact — from analyzing the business impact of a reduced peak day schedule and providing insights on Jet Card product possibilities, to helping drive our new targeted promotions effort. I’m all about finding ways to automate processes, making people’s lives easier, and giving the team the data and tools we need to take Jets.com to the next level. It’s been really rewarding to play a part in that.
— Ryan Birke, Senior Data Analyst

Jets.com's soon-to-launch Copilot app will make flying private even more seamless
Can you give us a sneak peek into what users can expect from the new Jets.com mobile app?
The new Jets.com Copilot mobile app will give our clients an easy way to manage their Jet Cards and trip bookings. We’re choosing to launch Copilot on mobile first because it’s where our clients need us most – booking trips, updating details on the go, getting real-time push notifications, and replenishing Jet Cards when they need more hours. Copilot is set to be an extension of the white-glove experience Jets.com is known for.
— Aaron Liu, Associate Product Manager
What’s one feature you’re excited for users to experience when the Jets.com app launches?
The app is designed to make private travel smarter, faster, and more seamless. Clients will be able to book trips in just a few taps by selecting from a list of frequent travel companions, streamlining the process and making it more intuitive. They can also save important details about their pets for future bookings, so their furry friends are always ready to travel by their side.
