Celebrating the Women Elevating Private Aviation

In celebration of Women’s History month, Jets.com is proud to spotlight three of our most accomplished female Private Aviation Executives. With over 50 years of combined experience, these trailblazing leaders share their insights on building successful careers in this often male-dominated industry and their passion for the world of private aviation.

It is All About the Level of Service You Provide

CJ Lashuk has built her business from the ground up, working relentlessly over 15+ years to earn the trust of her private flier clients. “The idea that women can’t sell is a myth, and we’re proving that wrong every day,” she says. “Women bring a unique ability to connect and approach clients with confidence and compassion.” Most of her new business comes from long-term relationships and referrals. “At the end of the day, clients don’t care whether you’re male or female, it’s all about the level of service you provide.”

Success in this Profession is About Skill, Experience, and Dedication, Not Gender

With nearly 20 years in aviation and sales, Michelle Farver Luedtke has a proven record showing that women are just as capable negotiators as men. “Women are often more collaborative, focusing on win-win solutions rather than resorting to aggressive tactics, which makes them more effective in the long run,” she explains. For Michelle, while private aviation is often associated with luxury, the real value lies in something much more practical: time. Her approach is predicated on supporting what’s uniquely best for every client. “Ultimately, success in this profession is about skill, experience, and dedication, not gender.”

Clients Care About Knowledge, Reliability, and Service

Susan Hawley never expected to join the world of private aviation, but has carved out a successful career by staying adaptable and prioritizing relationships amid a changing marketplace. “The industry has evolved, becoming more refined and service-oriented, with higher expectations for quality and experience,” she said. Susan credits her success in the industry with building trust and expertise. “Some of my closest friends started as colleagues, and the trust I’ve built with clients is what keeps me passionate about this industry. Clients care about knowledge, reliability, and service; if you can deliver that, you’ll earn your place.”

The women of Jets.com, and women across the aviation industry, continue to break barriers, build lasting relationships, and redefine what success looks like. Their expertise and dedication prove that aviation isn’t about gender, it’s about skill, trust, and leadership.
